1. Personalized Consultation

We offer free consultations because we believe you have the right to fully understand everything about limb lengthening before making any decisions and moving forward with the process. 2. Decision Making & Reservation Process

Once you have gathered all the necessary information, you can select which part of the limb you wish to have operated on (femur or tibia), set a surgery date, and decide whether you will stay in Turkey for the entire treatment or return home after a short hospital stay. By completing the form provided by our patient consultant, you will inform us of your choices and preferences, allowing us to offer you the best quality services as quickly as possible. If you're having trouble making decisions, you can always reach out to your patient consultant for additional information and assistance.

3. Visa Application

Patients are required to apply for a visa or e-visa before traveling to Turkey. Applications are typically submitted online or through embassies. Some citizens from certain countries are exempt from visa requirements and can enter Turkey easily for tourism purposes, with a stay allowance of up to 90 days from the date of arrival. However, for some individuals, the visa process can be more complicated, and the necessary documentation may take time to gather. In such cases, the Wannabetaller team can assist by providing you with a medical invitation letter to help streamline the visa process. As members of the Turkish Service Exporters Association, we are authorized to send official invitation letters to foreign patients. For further details, please reach out to your patient consultant.

4. Health Tourism Insurance

If you're curious about what this insurance is for and how it can benefit you, it's the first health insurance specifically designed for patients traveling to Turkey for medical tourism. It covers any complication expenses that may arise after surgery. With this insurance policy, if revision surgery is required due to complications, it ensures coverage for foreign patients, as well as Turkish patients living abroad, after their procedure.

5. Preparing for  Turkey

It’s crucial to gather information about the necessary documents for entering Turkey. We can assist you with obtaining e-visas, regular visas, or residence permits if you plan to stay longer than your visa allows. It's also recommended to book your flight well in advance to avoid missing your surgery date due to sold-out tickets.

Additionally, we have included a caregiver service in the surgery cost. A caregiver who speaks your language will be available whenever you need assistance during your hospital stay.

6. Pre-operative Examinations & Surgery

Our team will be waiting for you at the airport. Upon arrival, you'll be escorted to a high-quality hotel where you can enjoy a comfortable and luxurious stay. The following day, you'll embark on a guided city tour to explore the beautiful sights of Istanbul, savor local meals, and experience the best attractions. Afterward, you'll be driven to the hospital for essential tests to ensure you're a suitable candidate for the surgery. Test results are typically provided either later the same day or the next day. Finally, you'll visit the doctor's clinic for a face-to-face consultation.

Once all pre-surgery steps are completed, you will be asked to sign a consent form. After giving your consent for the procedure, you will be taken to the hospital for the surgery.

7. Hospitalization Process

The quality of your height reduction surgery is largely determined by the hospital where the procedure is performed. For this reason, we collaborate with one of the best hospitals in Turkey to ensure your care.

Once your doctor confirms your eligibility, you will be ready for surgery. You will be admitted to BHT Clinic Istanbul Tema Hospital for approximately 3 days. This hospital is renowned for its state-of-the-art technology, hygienic surgical environments, and exceptional healthcare services. During your hospital stay, a caregiver arranged by our team will assist you with all your needs. It’s important to note that most private hospitals in Turkey operate under a Quality Management System that aligns with Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation Standards and the Ministry of Health’s Quality Standards in Healthcare.

8. After surgery

Congratulations on having your height reduction surgery successfully! On the next day after surgery, we will provide you a walker to make your first steps. You will be gifted a wheelchair and other assistances to move around. A caretaker will be at hand for your additional needs. After 3 days, when you are about to be released from the hospital, your doctor will give necessary instructions about what to do to improve your walking and reduce pain. We will double-check to make sure you can do these on your own.

9. Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is quite significant in the course of the recover process. At least 4-5 physiotherapy sessions should be taken per week for the first few months after the surgery. The doctor should be consulted about how many physio sessions should be taken in the following months. As Height Reduction Team, we provide this service in the best way for our patients. During your stay here, your recovery progress will proceed more efficiently and healthily with the help of our experienced physiotherapist.

10. Psychological Service

Before undergoing height reduction surgery, it is essential for patients to prepare both financially and mentally. While financial matters can be more easily arranged, mental preparation may be more challenging. As part of the Height Reduction Team, we offer psychological counseling services provided by a specialist psychotherapist before the surgery. The purpose of this counseling is to ensure that patients have realistic expectations of the outcomes and to understand their goals. Additionally, we continue to offer this service after the surgery. Since it is a major procedure, patients may experience psychological challenges during their recovery, which is why we provide this support to help ensure a healthy and smooth process.

11. Dietician Service

Nutrition is undoubtedly one of the most important factors during the recovery process. Your psychological state during this time can influence your eating habits, which may negatively impact your health. To support you, the Height Reduction Team offers the services of a dietitian who will monitor your nutritional routines twice a month, ensuring you maintain a healthy diet throughout your recovery.
